Svetlana London to participate in Istanbul Arbitration Week 2022

On 11 October, Svetlana London, Managing Partner of CIS LONDON, will participate in Istanbul Arbitration Week 2022 hosted by the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center. 

Svetlana will take part in the panel discussion dedicated to the Global Developments affecting Turkey and the Region. 

“I am delighted to be part of the panel and to share my views as to the future of the Russian legal expertise in international arbitrations,” commented Mrs London.

Svetlana London Recommended by Spear’s Corporate Index 2022

Finding New Opportunities in Today’s World

On 28 June, members and guests of Women Who Inspire, a networking platform for business women, gathered to discuss new opportunities presented by the world today. The event was organised in partnership with CIS LONDON.

Svetlana London, Managing Partner of CIS LONDON, gave a presentation addressing the current situation in the legal market and the emerging trends. The presentation was followed by a discussion.

RusFor Conference in St. Petersburg

On 3 February, Svetlana London, Managing Partner of CIS LONDON, took part in the Intriguing Developments in International Disputes and the ESG Dilemma conference hosted by Russian Speaking Legal Professionals’ Forum (RusFor), the Department for International Trade, and the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce in St Petersburg. Svetlana participated in the panel on mediation practice in the UK and Russia.

 

ZIMA StartUp Autumn Session Final

On 24 November, ZIMA Magazine announced the winner of the autumn session of the ZIMA StartUp contest. The programme aims at supporting new projects and assisting young entrepreneurs from the CIS region to further success. CIS LONDON is proud to remain partner of Zima Startup. 

In her speech Svetlana London offered advice to both the investors and the young entrepreneurs. According to CIS LONODON Managing Partner, the foundational documents of a company should not be overlooked as they serve as the legal framework of a business and are the foundation of all further communication between the investor and the start-up.

 

Svetlana London on real estate ownership rights for non-UK residents

On 11 November, Svetlana London took part in a conference on the legal and tax aspects of private asset ownership in the UK. The event was organised by BCLP in collaboration with Knight Frank and GlobalEye in Moscow. Svetlana London delivered a presentation on real estate ownership rights for non-UK residents. 

 

Online Seminar on Dispute Resolution

On 30 September, The Department for International Trade of the British Embassy in Moscow and The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce held an online seminar on Dispute Resolution. 

During the seminar, the representatives of the best British law firms, including CIS LONDON, discussed the key legal aspects and issues in UK and Russia, presented most interesting cases from their practices, and answered questions.
