Mikhail is a senior associate with the Kazakh practice of CIS LONDON. Having over five years of professional legal experience, Mikhail’s primary focus now is on dispute resolution and cross-border litigation. In addition to the dispute resolution expertise, he has a detailed understanding of securities market laws, equity and debt capital offerings, and M&A.
Prior to joining CIS London in early 2017, Mikhail was a senior associate in an Almaty office of an international law firm. He was also an in-house lawyer for VISOR Capital, an international investment bank.
Mikhail participated in complex foreclosure processes and in resolution of financial lawsuits, investment disputes, and high value monetary claims defending interests of overseas investors and international financial institutions. He represented global corporations, leading international manufacturers, and top Russian companies in Kazakh courts and arbitration institutions.
He also advised a number of equity and debt offerings on KASE and LSE.
Mikhail holds a Master’s degree in international law (LLM) from KIMEP University and a diploma in translation from the Kazakh-American University.
