Marina is a Senior Associate with CIS LONDON specialising in corporate, international and personal taxation. Marina has extensive experience in providing tax consulting services to multinational companies. She specialises in all areas of Russian taxation with a particular focus on corporate taxation. She advises international businesses on various tax issues related to inbound and outbound investments, development and implementation of corporate structures for international groups in various jurisdictions, project financing, M&A transactions, setting up of joint ventures.
Marina also participated in provision of a wide range of tax advisory services, including development of tax accounting policy and methodology of tax accounting (i.a. for the purposes of implementation of enterprise information systems (SAP ERP, etc.)), participated in tax review/audit of Russian and foreign companies according to IAS/GAAP and RAS. She also has experience in advising private clients on matters related to personal holding structures (including foreign trusts and foundations), controlled foreign companies (CFC) rules and de-offshorisation.
With many years of extensive experience in working for Tier 1 firms (big4). In CIS LONDON she mainly provides tax & legal consulting services in the areas of international taxation (Russian CFC, deoffshorisation laws, currency controls), transfer pricing and personal taxes.
Marina graduated with honours as an economist from Finance University (former Finance Academy) under the Government of the Russian Federation. She has also studied law at BPP Law School (UK, London) and graduated with a GDL in 2015.
