Kulzhan is a qualified Kazakh lawyer with over 18 years of professional legal experience. She has joined the firm’s Kazakh practice in 2015.
Kulzhan specialises in corporate, dispute resolution and commercial projects involving Kazakhstan jurisdiction, advising on various Kazakh legal issues. Her practice covers a broad range of corporate and commercial work including M&A, commercial contracts, joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements and cross-border dispute resolution.
Prior to joining CIS LONDON, Kulzhan worked for a Kazakhstani law firm and a number of international law firms in London on transnational dispute resolution matters involving Kazakh and Russian parties.
Kulzhan is a regular conference speaker and an author of several articles in English and Russian on topical issues.
Kulzhan is a Member of the British-Kazakh Law Association, the Young International Arbitration Group and is active in various other arbitration and professional legal organisations.
Kulzhan graduated as a Kazakh qualified lawyer from Karaganda State University named after Buketov in 1997. In addition, she has obtained a Graduate Diploma in Law, Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees with honours at BPP University. Kulzhan has also successfully passed the Legal Practice Course at the same university.
